HOW THE HOPPY LITEMATE SYSTEM WORKS

 
Vehicle-to-trailer wiring used to be a real chore. The job took hours trying to find the correct wires on the tow vehicle and then cutting, splicing, soldering and taping to complete the installation.

With the Hoppy LiteMate system, do-it-yourself consumers and/or the professional installer can do a complete vehicle-to-trailer wiring installation in just minutes. This modular system plugs together to accommodate most vehicle and trailer combinations.

 Step One: Consult Selection Guide for the correct wiring kit part number.

 Step Two: Locate the factory OEM taillight wiring harness on the tow vehicle

step 3

 Step Three: Unplug the wiring harness and simply plug in the Hoppy connector. This unit will be prewired to provide Right Turn, Left Turn, and Taillight.

 Step Four: Plug in the 4-wire flat extension to the Hoppy connector. The two-piece system provides for a more versatile installation as well as a plug simple replacement option if the unit ever becomes damaged.

 Step Five: Optional “Pre-wired” 4-wire flat to 6-way round and 4-wire flat to 7-way RV Blade round extension adapters are available to custom install the vehicle side wiring to most trailer combinations.
wiring kit NOTE: Each wiring kit includes everything needed to install a 4-wire flat application: Terminal grease to weatherproof all connections, cable ties to install the completed wiring out of harms way, a ground screw to maintain a proper ground and a dust cap to protect the 4-wire flat.
